BLOGGING GOALS BEFORE 2015 ENDS

Saturday 17 October 2015

I feel like I've already achieved quite a lot since I started my blog only three weeks ago. Of course it's not going viral or anything like that but to me, a thousand views in three weeks is a very good number! I try not to compare myself with other bloggers as most of the bloggers I follow have been doing this for a very long time and I don't even know how their blog was doing a month into starting it. I don't really know what the 'normal' statistics are so I decided to set my own goals, all of them I believe very realistic. These are very humble numbers but they're goals I'd be more than happy with if I achieved them within the next two and half months before the next year.

- Reach 550 followers on Twitter. I'm on about 470 at the moment so this shouldn't be too hard to achieve.

- Have 2000 views on my blog. I just achieved my 1000 view a couple of days ago after three weeks so I'm hoping to get another thoisand views before the end of the year.

- Reach 100 followers on Bloglovin'. This seems to be the hardest one for me, at the moment I have 65 followers so I don't know if this is a realistic goal, but do-able none the less.

- Get one guest post. I'd love for another blogger to star guest post on my blog.

- Improve my photography skills. I know this one will take a long time and knowing myself I will never be 100% happy, but I hope to learn new skills and techniques to help me improve the pictures on my blog.

These are my goals, very little compared to other people's but they're realistic. I prefer having small goals and actually reaching them than hoping for 5000 followers on Twitter and be years away from it! I will do another post at the beginning of 2016 with a year long goals and I will also let you know how I did with this goals in the last two months.

What are you blogging goals?

  1. All your goals are realistic and can be achieved. You just have to blog more often and interact more with other bloggers.
The "get one guest post" is the easiest. Cos you can choose any blogger and ask him/her to feature in a post. I'm sure they'll be happy to do that.
    All the best.

  4. Great goals! I'm still trying to improve my photography skills for my blog so that's my goal for the rest of 2015. Would love if you could check out my recent post? :)

  5. I think it's good to have goals and targets to aim for, but most of all enjoy what you're doing regardless of numbers....good luck!

  6. Great job on your accomplishments! That is great especially only after a few weeks of blogging. Do you have any tips on gaining Twitter followers?? I only post new blog post announcements on there, not sure what's the best way of connecting with others!
